Voltage Optimisation – NHS Hospital

Our client is a hospital located in Cheshire, and it is affiliated with the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It has been consistently recognised as one of the top hospitals in the country for the past three years.

The new facilities are state-of-the-art and comprise a theatre suite opened in 2014 as part of a £22.8million project and the creation of a new Critical Care unit. A major consideration throughout the modifications was the desire to improve efficiency and reduce energy which would be reflected in reduced electricity bills for many years to come. After an initial survey and consultation, we introduced VO & our Power Factor Correction energy saving system.

Installation was non obtrusive during normal working hours and without the need for any major changes in infrastructure. Payback was less than 2 years although a reduction in maintenance costs and the protection of all electrical appliances, plant and machinery will improve the real payback considerably.
