TPI Code of Practice

Ashmere Solutions are accredited with conforming with TPI Principles, set out in the TPI Code of Practice.

Our staff have extensive industry experience and undergo regular appraisals, assessments, and training.

The TPI (Third Part Intermediary) Code of Practice is a set of principles designed for companies operating in the energy sector and were created to protect businesses using energy brokers and ensure you are being treated in a clear, fair and not misleading manner.

By abiding by the Code of Practice, you can be assured that you will be dealt with in line with industry standards.

The Code of Practice Summary

Responsible selling
We won’t use misleading sales tactics, exploit a person’s inexperience and will treat all clients with sensitivity and respect or mislead you into making any decisions.
We will never use ‘high-pressure’ sales techniques

Audits
We conduct audits at least annual to ensure we are complying with the Code.

Quotes
You can get an annual estimate before signing a contract if you ask for one. As always, we’ll explain how we calculated it, including any discounts, and under what terms.

Relevant laws & regulations
As well as this code, we adhere to Supply Licence Condition 7a, Ofgem’s Standards of conduct, GDPR, ICO Guidelines, Business Protection Regulations and Employment law.

Letters of authority
We require a signed Letter of Authority in clear, easy-to-understand language if you would like us to act on your behalf.

All sales material
Must be accurate and written clearly.

Contracts and quotes
Before you sign any contract with an energy supplier, we’ll make sure you understand what you’re signing and its implications. Agreements must be written not verbal.

If the contract doesn’t complete in time or is rejected
We will inform you right away so that we can resolve the issue together.
